Welcome to Belhaven University Houston Campus! I am overjoyed to serve as the Director for our Adult, Graduate and Online programs. Student Services Staff

Renee Brooks  Cynthia Renee Brooks, Assistant Director of Student Services

I have been privileged to encourage others by guiding them through the process of realizing and walking according to a God given purpose. An opportunity to serve for almost 30 years at institutions of higher learning in student services has shaped me well to serve students. I start my days with a deliberate acknowledgement that I do not have the ability to choose to do good, show kindness, or love others unless I have the guidance of the Holy Spirit that abides in me through Christ Jesus.

I completed my undergraduate degree in Sociology with a concentration in Psychology at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). I have also done some graduate level courses at Pepperdine University in Educational Psychology.

Psalm 3:3 - But you, Lord, are a shield around me, my glory, the One who lifts my head high.
Veronica Garcia Veronica Garcia, Associate Director of Student Services

I knew I wanted more out of life, after my parents separated. There were many changes that took place, which caused me to re-evaluate how I would move forward with life and my education. Although this was a challenging period in my life, God had His hand upon me. He was pushing me forward and directing my footsteps. Nevertheless, I finished high school, in spite of the difficulties. Later, I still had the desire to press on and further my education. God knew the desires of my heart and directed me to Belhaven.

Veronica is a proud Belhaven University graduate with a Bachelors in Business Administration!

Philippians 3:8 - Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him. For His sake, I have lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish in order that I may gain Christ.

Romans 3:5-6 - But we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.
