When I was younger I had no intention of going to college. I honestly did not believe that I was smart enough. I met the Lord when I was 21 and devoted my whole life to knowing Him and making Him known and joined the mission field as a single mother. After serving in the mission field for five years I felt the Lord leading me to go to college. I met my husband, got married, had children, juggled work and earned a Bachelor and a Master degree. I have learned the faithfulness of God, He truly gives beauty for ashes, and anything is possible with God!
John 17:3 - Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.

B.S. in Communication, Minor in Bible - Milligan College
I was born and raised in the church. I went to church, graduated from a Christian high school but had no idea what I really wanted to do with my life. I went to college but kept changing majors at the drop of a hat. I finally listened to God's voice regarding His plans for my life, and heard Him calling me into ministry. I finally finished my degree eventually becoming a pastor. Because of God's grace I now live my life in obedience to His calling and want others to learn how to do the same!
"Tell me," Samuel said. "Does the Lord really want sacrifices and offerings? No! He doesn't want your sacrifices. ; He wants you to obey him." 1 Samuel 15:22

M.B.A. and B.S. - Belhaven University
I was born and raised in the Congo, moved to Belgium, then California, and then Mississippi. I played four years of collegiate Basketball at Belhaven in Mississippi, earned a B.S. in International Studies. During my time at Belhaven, I also got engaged and married. After graduation, we moved to Houston and started a family. I thought I was done with school, until I evaluated where I was, and where I was headed. I made a plan, took action and had faith in God's direction. Three years later, I have two children, an MBA, purchased a home, and started a business. At Belhaven, I love sharing my faith, igniting passion, and encouraging adults to take the same leap of faith I took In order to allow God to show Himself faithful.
1 Corinthians 2:9 - No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived, what GOD has prepared for those who love HIM.

B.A. in Speech - John Carroll University
I was blessed to graduate from a Christian University, where my father was a professor. Before coming to Belhaven University, I was a professional actress and worked in theatre in and out of New York City. Wanting to live in a warm climate, I moved to Houston where I worked for a recording studio and several radio stations, eventually setting up my own recording business. Being fortunate enough to realize my dreams of a Christian education, I felt it was time to go back to my roots and give back. I'm delighted to serve at Belhaven, enabling others to reap the benefits of a Christian education, too!
Psalm 23 - A psalm of David: The Lord is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; He leads me beside peaceful streams. He renews my strength.

I knew I wanted more out of life, after my parents separated. There were many changes that took place, which caused me to re-evaluate how I would move forward with life and my education. Although this was a challenging period in my life, God had His hand upon me. He was pushing me forward and directing my footsteps. Nevertheless, I finished high school, in spite of the difficulties. Later, I still had the desire to press on and further my education. God knew the desires of my heart and directed me to Belhaven.
Philippians 3:8 - Yes, furthermore, I count everything as loss compared to the possession of the priceless privilege of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord and of progressively becoming more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him. For His sake I have lost everything and consider it all to be mere rubbish in order that I may gain Christ.

B.B.A. - Belhaven University
My involvement with my church and outreach ministries led me to volunteer as a peer counselor for our local Pregnancy Help Center, but a desire to attend college tugged at my heart. While working a full time and part time job, I graduated with my Bachelors of Business Administration. I am currently in the process of completing my Master's degree. Jesus has taught me how to truly trust and depend on Him as my keeper and provider in ways I never imagined I would need Him. I honestly would not have made it, let alone graduated, without Him. Seek him, trust him, believe in him, acknowledge him and he will direct your path! Jesus is great and greatly to be praised!
Psalms 61:2 - From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

It is a privilege to work with the adult and graduate students at Belhaven University. There is no greater joy for me than to journey with each student as they progress through their program of study and to see them walk confidently across the stage to receive their diploma. As an adult learner, I experienced the struggles of balancing family, church, work, and school. At Belhaven, we understand the need for balance, and we support you so you can successfully achieve your goals.
Proverbs 3:5-6 - Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding: In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths.
