Overview

The Master of Business Administration (MBA) program is truly a blend of the sophisticated academic world, the practical and technologically dependent career world, and the eternal world of Christian faith. The enabling thrust of our business degree is to develop in students that rare level of discernment so much in demand, both globally and locally, and to give leadership and direction to those in the secular world who lack an ethical operating foundation.

The above qualities can best be developed in Master of Business Administration students through an intense program of both the appropriate academics advocated, and the verity of validating values to which the College, the Division of Business Administration, and each faculty member are totally committed.

MBA program classes are offered one night per week. The format is a concentrated, continuous approach. Students are required to participate in Project Team activities within each course, which are designed to enhance the learning process and the development of problem-solving skills.

Admission Information

As you apply for admission to Belhaven College, you can use this checklist to assist you in the process. Each item required is necessary to apply, be accepted and register at the college.  If you have any questions about admission, contact 281-579-9977 or houstonadmission@belhaven.edu.

1.  COMPLETE the APPLICATION for Admission

• Two years of relevant work experience required.
• Required: A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

2.  TRANSFERRING CREDITS

• Submit official transcripts from all colleges or universities previously attended.  See Transferability of Credit Notice.  You may make copies of the transcript request form provided.

3.  PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION

• Submit one of the following:
        An undergraduate GPA of 2.8 in the last 60 hours     OR
        Appropriate test scores (see below)
        GMAT score of at least 350 and the formula score (300XUGPA+GMAT) of at least 1200
  
• A professional resume which demonstrates a minimum of 2 years of significant full-time work experience.
• Two completed recommendation forms (one being from a current or former supervisor)
• Entrance essay which demonstrates analytical and verbal ability- answering the question “How will this degree at Belhaven College help achieve my educational/life goals?” if requested.
• A veteran who wished to be assessed for military credit or who will use veteran benefits must submit a copy of Form DD214 and/or DD295 to Belhaven College.

4.  SUBMIT TEST SCORES

• Submit one of the following:
        An undergraduate GPA of 2.8 in the last 60 hours     OR
        GMAT score of at least 350 and the formula score (300XUGPA+GMAT) of at least 1200
  
• Proficiency in the English language as demonstrated by at least tow years of successful academic work at the college or university level in the United States or by a minimum score of 550 paper-based, 173 computer-based, or 61 internet-based on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
• REQUIRED: Completion (with grade of a “C” or better) of College algebra or higher mathematics course.
